Communications Manager - --Southampton

£30000 - £45000 per annum

The Communications Manager will work closely with leadership to design the Organisation's communications management strategy and oversee its implementation. The Communications Manager in collaboration with relevant parts of the organization will be responsible for the organisation’s communication activities and outputs, including websites, social media, e-newsletters, media and public relations, and marketing materials. The Communications Manager will also play an important role in monitoring and supporting high-quality internal communication procedures.

We are looking for:

1 A genuine interest in, and willingness to further understand the mission and operations of the organisations
2 Minimum 5 years of experience in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or relevant field;
3 University degree in related field, an advanced degree and/or certificates an asset;
4 Superior communications skills, both spoken and written. Fluency in English and a second language preferable; French and Swedish are plus
5 Strong leadership and people management skills;
6 Proven ability to develop and execute strategic and creative communication strategies;
7 Experience in the development or humanitarian sectors desirable;
8 Outstanding oral, editing and writing skills;
9 Strong creative problem-solving and detail oriented;
10 Ability to manage competing priorities.
