Connected Car - Integration Engineer - Warwickshire

£36300 - £47100 per annum

WA Consultants are recrutiing for an Integration Engineer for our large automotive client in Warwickshire. The client is looking for the engineer to join their connected car team.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Connected Car Integration is a part of the Electrical Engineering department and is responsible for the delivery of fully integrated and functional mobile connected systems.

As Integration Engineer you’ll be responsible for confirmation of system design and approval of the pre-production release candidates into the production environments. You’ll also build and sign-off of test rigs to support end-to-end system validation, incorporating both on-board and off-board requirements.

Supporting builds at relevant plants, you’ll lead workshop investigations into complex off-board issues, prototype system debug, and contribute to market delivery and customer operation support. You’ll own the programme milestone planning, ensure a robust plan is developed and scoped.

Managing acceptance planning and testing prior to any new production deployment integration, you’ll ensure all elements of the system are functional and fit for deployment to the live customer base.

Finally you’ll own operation and In market support, provide assistance where required to ensure market roll out is successful and any operation issues which need in-depth investigation are answered in a timely fashion.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED

With experience in the software, consumer electronics and Internet services industries, you’ll be result driven, with the ability to deliver to high standard and to agreed timescales.

You’ll have the ability to build trust and relationships in a complex stakeholder environment and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment.

Educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline, you’ll also need vehicle architecture and an understanding of server hardware and software design. With excellent negotiation skills, you’ll need the ability to build relationships with suppliers, and project management and communication skills would be beneficial. Finally, you should be self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision, with strong leadership skills.
