WA Consultants is recruiting for an experienced SC Cleared Senior Business Analyst to play a key role in a major customer data transformation programme, supporting the migration of customer data and associated processes from Microsoft Dynamics 365 to ServiceNow.
Working closely with business stakeholders, data specialists, solution architects and technical delivery teams, the Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding the existing customer-data landscape, defining business and data requirements, and ensuring these are successfully translated into the target ServiceNow solution.
This is a hands-on business analysis role requiring particularly strong experience of data migration, customer data, requirements analysis and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead business analysis activities across the end-to-end migration from Dynamics 365 to ServiceNow.
* Understand and document the existing Dynamics 365 customer-data landscape, associated processes, integration’s and business rules.
* Gather, analyse and document detailed business, functional and data requirements.
* Work with business and technical stakeholders to define the required future-state customer data model and processes within ServiceNow.
* Undertake data discovery, analysis and profiling to understand the structure, quality and usage of existing customer data.
* Produce and maintain source-to-target data mappings, transformation rules and migration requirements.
* Identify data quality issues, duplicates, gaps and inconsistencies and work with stakeholders to define appropriate cleansing or remediation rules.
* Facilitate workshops with business users, SMEs, architects, developers and data teams.
* Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and detailed analysis artefacts.
* Perform gap analysis between current Dynamics 365 functionality/processes and the proposed ServiceNow solution.
* Identify dependencies, risks and impacts associated with the migration.
* Support decisions around data retention, archiving and legacy-system decommissioning.
* Work closely with technical and migration teams throughout design, build, testing and cutover.
* Support migration reconciliation and validation to ensure completeness and accuracy of migrated customer data.
* Define business acceptance criteria and support SIT/UAT, defect resolution and business sign-off.
* Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project life-cycle.
* Support business readiness, cut over and transition into the new ServiceNow environment.
Essential Experience
Candidates should have:
* Significant experience working as a Senior Business Analyst on large-scale technology or business transformation programmes.
* Strong experience of data migration projects, ideally involving complex customer or CRM data.
* Experience of defining source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, data quality requirements and reconciliation criteria.
* Strong understanding of customer-data structures, data models and business processes.
* Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365, particularly Customer Engagement/CRM and its underlying customer-data structures.
* Experience working with ServiceNow as either a source or target enterprise platform.
* Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills.
* Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and data-related requirements.
* Proven ability to facilitate workshops involving both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience working closely with solution architects, data engineers, developers and test teams.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to challenge requirements and resolve conflicting priorities.
* Experience supporting UAT, migration validation and reconciliation.
* Experience delivering within Agile and/or hybrid project environments.
Please note, this role has been deemed inside of IR35 and rates are up to £500 per day (Umbrella Company rate). This will be a hybrid working role with occasional visits to site and the client requires candidates with active SC Clearance.
