Embedded Software Engineer (Contract) – Inside IR35
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid)
Contract: Inside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a global client on a contract basis. This is a hybrid role based near to Glasgow, offering the opportunity to work on the development of innovative embedded systems throughout the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for real-time systems.
* Develop software in C/C++ for embedded platforms.
* Work with RTOS, bare-metal, and Embedded Linux environments.
* Develop and debug software for STM32 microcontrollers.
* Participate in the full product lifecycle, from requirements capture and design through development, testing, and release.
* Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality embedded solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Strong commercial experience with Embedded C/C++.
* Experience developing software for RTOS and bare-metal systems.
* Knowledge of Embedded Linux.
* Hands-on experience with STM32 microcontrollers.
* Experience working across the full product development lifecycle.
* Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a collaborative engineering team.

* Competitive daily rate available depending on experience.
