We are looking for a field engineer based in Den Bosch / Eindhoven area working for a global leading company.
As a Field Engineer, you are the face of the company at the customer’s site. You ensure systems keep running and that issues are resolved quickly and professionally. Thanks to your efforts, stores and restaurants remain operational—and customers stay satisfied.
Your main responsibilities:
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at customers in restaurants & retail
• Taking ownership of incidents and malfunctions until they are fully resolved
• Performing repairs and replacing parts in PCs, POS systems, printers, and peripherals such as payment terminals, scanners, etc.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance and diagnosing technical issues
• Recording your work during and after a service call
• Managing your tools, spare parts inventory, and work materials
• Collaborating with planning, call center, and colleagues to resolve issues quickly
• Building strong customer relationships and representing the company in a professional manner
Requirements
• MBO (vocational) diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience with PC hardware maintenance & support
• Knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office
• Certification such as A+ is a plus
• Experience with retail systems is a plus
• Technical insight (mechanical & electrical)
• Experience with networks, routers, and peripherals
• Ability to work independently, solution-oriented, and remain calm under pressure
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
• Flexibility (evening, weekend, and on-call shifts possible)
